Q&A Music
1. How are you going to share the responsibilities between individuals your group?
In my work, I did my work and shared it within my teammates. It was difficult since it was a team effort and there was only one project that needed us to perform together.
Medieval genre techniques will you use compared to Rock music characteristics?
I compared the medieval beats and applied the factors of drum bets from it to enhance the music piece by using its medieval aspects
If your pieces is based upon arrangements of Rock composers, who? and why?
It was based of from a lot of other famous composers like Bryan Tyler. This are many other forms that I picked up since Bryan Tyler created many other famous pieces that inspired many. I also want to give a mention to Fall out boy since their rock concept brought me to finish this project.
Have you reflected the traditions of medieval music through the modes, lyrics and rhythmic structure in your piece?
Yes, it was pretty easy since most parts of this songs were repetitions of the previous notes. I also think that this had a lot of impact whether the song was easy or hard to learn.
Does your piece have a meaningful message, in line to the medieval and rock fusion ideals?
It shows the times when piracy was in the meta and what the pirates felt when they were doing their work. It had displayed the feelings of the people back then.
How are you going to show your development and final ideas on your blog?
I am going to show the ways that the song was picked and my evaluation of the content i discovered. Besides that, I would include the additional work we had done.
2. Inquiry Questions: (F) What is Medieval music? Where can you hear Medieval music? (C)
Yes, medieval tunes can be heard and it also combined a little rock concept with its notes. I found out that medieval music is music based from a long time ago , around decades, that have a slow but meaningful sound.
In what different ways can modes, drones and ostinato be used in modern music such as pop and rock? (D)
They all depend on the music score, it will be based on how does the writer expresses its work in a distinct manner and make the audience feel different about the song.

Medieval rock week 7
This week we performed our music since it was our due date.
My thoughts of performing: I think that this performance went not as smooth as I wished it. There were many mistakes made that can be improved and some of us forgotten about the music so we had to shorten it a little. Many improvement can be made and I wish in the next semester I can achieve better results and hopefully get a better impression of my own performance.

Medieval rock week 6
From last weeks choice, we decided on going for something more easier and more medieval like.
We came down to the assassin creed soundtrack that I wanted to do last assessment yet did not use because there were better options. This was the soundtrack that we decided on.

We basically took the whole class time to practice and therefore there was not much things that happen that class.
Medieval Rock week 4
This week was about the introduction of a different type but similar genre of music to medieval music. It was rock music. In this class, I had a lot of fun since I could relate my interests into this and get something better out of this advantage.
Rock Music
Rock music has been a big influence to humanity especially during the late 90's. Rock had a long way into turning to what it had become and it is still popular in times today.Rock music has also been recreated throughout media and spreading into rock'n'roll, hip hop and rap. This evolution is still going on and on and it would not stop until humans give up in being into music anymore.
Rock music timeline
I found out that different variations of music can lead to a different feeling and affect on to the experience we would have in the future when we see how music has evolved.

Medieval Rock week 2
In the second week of our medieval rock music, Ms, Lisa, our music teacher was absent. Therefore, we did this task.
Here are my answers.
1) Medieval music is a genre or music from the 18th century created my Sir. Gregory. It has manipulated its properties and means throughout these years and advanced to other types of music.
2)Rock music is another genre of music in the 19th century. This music is usually quite loud and played by guitars, drums and many more. Elvis Presley is one of the famous artists of this genre.
3)*Picture unavailable, here is the details.
Medieval Music
The early Christian church derived their music from existing Jewish and Byzantine religious chant. Like all music in the Western world up to this time, plainchant was monophonic: that is, it comprised a single melody without any harmonic support or accompaniment. Sometime during the ninth century, music theorists in the Church began experimenting with the idea of singing two melodic lines simultaneously at parallel intervals, usually at the fourth, fifth, or octave. This eventually led to the makng of popular music and then transitioned to the music today.

Medieval Music Week 1
This was the first week of our music class. We started our topic with medieval rock, I was curious about medieval rock because I knew nothing about it and was not that interested into learning it. I would not have searched about medieval music unless teacher told us to.
Medieval Music is a type of music that appeared during the early 18th century. It is very slow and there are a lot of repetition in its melody. The music below is the medieval music that we observed and the slowness and repetition is shown in the song notes.
History-During the earlier medieval period, the liturgical genre, predominantly Gregorian chant, was monophonic. Polyphonic genres began to develop during the high medieval era, becoming prevalent by the later 13th and early 14th century. The development of such forms is often associated with the Ars nova. Medieval music eventually evolved into a new segment of music to be known today.
Texture- Gives a sacred and majestic feeling due to its slow, clear and soothing music. Yet on the other hand, it gives boredom.
